DECREPIT BIRTH: 'Diminishing Between Worlds' Jam-Session Video Available
March 2, 2011A "jam-session"-styled video for the song "Diminishing Between Worlds" from Santa Cruz, California-based tech-death masters DECREPIT BIRTH can be viewed below. The clip was shot last month during the group's two-week resting period while waiting for drummer Samus Paulicelli to be legally allowed to leave the state of New Jersey to in order to join his bandmates on the "Spread The Venom Tour" with KATAKLYSM and ALL SHALL PERISH.
"Polarity", the third album from DECREPIT BIRTH, sold around 1,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 18 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Polarity" was released on July 27, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD artwork was completed by cult artist Dan Seagrave (MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED, SUFFOCATION).
Drums for "Polarity" were tracked at Sharkbite Studios (MACHINE HEAD, EXODUS) in Oakland with producer Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, SUFFOCATION, IMMOLATION) while the rest of the recordings were overseen by guitarist Matt Sotelo before the entire effort was mixed by Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios.
